My attempts to start seedlings indoors resulted in plants (or soon to be plants) spread all over my kitchen/breakfast area. I had been comparing prices of mini greenhouses online at Amazon, eBay, and Walmart but had not committed to purchasing one.
Then last weekend while stopping at my local Big Lots for a garden hose, I came across this one for under $30 and decided to make an impulse buy. It looked just like the ones I was interested in online with no waiting. Sometimes instant gratification is the best. And being cheap makes it even better.
Last night I finally had time to assemble it after work. No tools were required. Everything just snapped together. Initially I was worried that the greenhouse would simply fall apart but the connections were nice and snug. It feels surprisingly sturdy for being cheap and made of plastic and light metal tubes. The instructions note that weight on each shelf should not exceed 20 lbs. I did have to secure the metal racks with twist ties that I plan to replace when I find the zip ties in my disaster of a garage.
Here it is. Picture perfect. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!
